This campaign group was created in February 2014 to highlight the plight of horses grazed at Fosse Park, Leicester.  The circumstances surrounding these horses prove the UK equine welfare and passport laws are not enforced.  After many phone calls, letters and meetings with the authorities and RSPCA plus some local demonstrations, the Fosse herd were finally moved from the contaminated and flood prone land in December 2014.

During the Fosse campaign we were shocked by the high number of other neglect cases up and down the country.  Realising we couldn’t hang up our boots just because Fosse was cleared we became a national campaign.  We lobby parliament and encourage supporters to contact their MPs and local councillors to raise the profile of our campaign.  We created our petition to prove how many people support our objective: Enforce UK law – protect horses now!

We visit shows to raise our profile and collect signatures and ask supporters to collect signatures too (click here to access our petition sheet).  We are not a charity and do not collect funds.  We pay all marketing and admin costs ourselves.  We also do not store any data from the petition sheets.  We have no database so you will never receive any junk mail from us.

When a petition reaches 100,000 signatures it will be considered for debate in Parliament.  Hopefully we will reach our goal before this figure, but we will carry on collecting if necessary!

Hope for Horses wants all UK equines to have a safe and cruelty-free future.  Please take a look around the website to learn more about the campaign and how you can help.

Enforce the law – protect horses now!

Please print off a copy of our petition and help us collect signatures.
